FAQs
What if I have kids?
At New Vision, we believe that children are valuable gifts from God. God calls His church both to teach children and defend them from evil and danger. We believe that children, just like adults, need Jesus’ saving love. Only Jesus can change kids, families, neighborhoods and schools. During our sermon, the children go downstairs to our Kid Zone for an engaging time filled with bible study, crafts, and games. We have a nursery attendant during the entire service for toddlers through 4 years of age. All of our volunteers have their PA required clearances making us a “SAFE CHURCH”.
Teenagers?
NVE partners with Youth For Christ in Erie and other local churches to run a city wide youth outreach every week on Sunday nights. We call this group City Life. City Life is a multi-ethnic multi-church youth outreach that is focused on reaching the lost kids in our area. God has been working though this collaborative ministry experience to reinforce our mission to “work well with others”. Our times are from 5-8 every Sunday night and we meet at the Glenwood UMC church gymnasium.
What about parking?
We have a spacious, paved parking lot in the rear of the building as well as a smaller lot at the front. We do ask to keep spaces available for handicap on the top lot for the handicap-accessible entrance ramp.
What do I wear?
You’ll see the whole spectrum at our church. You’ll probably see anything from suits and dresses to jeans, t-shirts, and assorted forms of camouflage. Casual dress as well as something more formal are both perfectly acceptable for our Sunday morning gathering. Bottom Line: Wear whatever you feel comfortable worshiping in!
